Adult Forum Series - Evangelism 101: What We All Must Know About Evangelism (And it’s not as scary as one might think!) Evangelism 101 began on January 10 and will run through the season after the Epiphany. The series will explore evangelism based on the book, Reclaiming the Great Commission by the Tr. Tev. Claude Payne and Hamilton Beazley. NO ADVANCED READING REQUIRED! We will ask and seek to answer these five questions:
What is the process of evangelism?
What is the message of evangelism?
What is the reason for evangelism?
At whom should our evangelism efforts be aimed?
Who is responsible for evangelism?

Member Directory:Building Relationships ---- Let's get to know each other!The HCFM Communications Ministry is excited to announce we are creating an improved member directory. It will be available in print as well as online securedby a password. We are asking everyone to fill out a form and submit their own family picture or you may have a new picture taken by one of the communication board members after the 10:30 services March 14, 21, or 28. Community Lenten Services take place on Wednesday afternoons @ 12 noon: March 10 – Holy Cross Faith Memorial Episcopal Church; March 17 – St. John AME; March 24 – Pawleys Island Presbyterian Church. On March 10,we will serve “Brown Bag” lunches again since they were such a huge success! The Lenten Program at HCFM takes place on Wednesday evenings @ 6PM through March 24 - We will gather in the Church, share a light supper and delight in one another’s company! We will share stories and have an opportunity for fellowship in a relaxed atmosphere. These dinners are for the ENTIRE Parish Family – wee ones to our most mature! Holy Cross Faith Memorial and Ms. Ruby's School will be on the 63rd annual Prince Georges Winyah Parish plantation tour. 20 historic homes, plantations and churches, many of which are only available for viewing on this tour, will be featured. Parish members and your family and friends may want to purchase tickets for this event to be held on March 26 and 27, 2010. Advanced ticket sales end on March 12, 2010. This is a very popular event and draws people from all parts of the country. If available tickets will be sold at the Parish House on the day of the tour beginning at 9:00AM. If you want to purchase tickets we have order forms in the church office and in the Narthex. Ticket price is $35.00 for each day or $60.00 for both days plus a $2.00 handling charge. Senior High Youth Trip to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park - June 27 - July 1, 2010!!Rising 10th - rising college freshmen are encouraged to go on this trip! This PYE (Provincial Youth Event) is an annual event organized and planned by the southeastern dioceses that make up Province IV of the Episcopal Church. There will be youth and adults from all over the southeast! We will stay in Townsend, TN, just outside the National Park. With a rich history of Cherokee and Appalachian cultures, this event will feature traditions of music and storytelling along with time spent hiking in the woods and swimming in the creeks. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park is America's most visited national park. The park is threatened by human presence and invasive species. Participants will be witness to those effects as we discuss our roles in the stewardship of God's Creation. We will also give back to the National Park through service projects helping to keep the park in good shape for future visitors.Questions? Concerns? Interested in going? The deadline is February 28.
